How many uses do I get out of the Beeswax Wraps?

The wraps last up to one year, after which the beeswax begins to degrade and their adhesive quality decreases. They are fully biodegradable. Compost the material at the end of its lifespan instead of throwing it away.

How do I clean the Beeswax Wraps?

Hand wash the wraps in cool water, using mild dish soap if needed. Use a soft sponge or dishrag to remove any food residue. Or gently scrub the surface of wrap with your fingertips. Do not use a scrub brush. Do not use warm or hot water as this will melt the wax. Hang to dry. Do not wring. Not dishwasher safe. Watch our how-to video.

Where are the Beeswax Wraps made?

The wraps are handmade in Shenzen, China. Visit the Our Mission page to learn more about where our wraps are made, about our manufacturers, and our philosophy on ethical manufacturing.

Why are my hands sticky from the Beeswax Wraps?

All beeswax wraps recipes are different, some use more resin, some less. Some recipes use coconut oil or pine tree resin. Our wraps are made with food-grade beeswax, plant resin and jojoba oil. Wraps made with only beeswax are just slightly sticky. We include plant resin to help the wrap stick better to itself, china or glassware. Over time the stickiness wears off, lasting up to a year.

If you feel residue on your fingers after molding a beeswax wrap, rub both hands to rub it in. It’s good for your skin, like a salve.
